Darkqueens – 2017

Darkqueens was held for the first time at the Flower Market in Barcelona, a unique and very singular space. For the first time with a limited capacity of 498 spectators, a privileged selection of image and hairdressing professionals from all over Catalonia.

The show was performed by the renowned Thomas Noone dance company, which once again fused hairdressing with dance in an elegant and contemporary show, with a very careful and elaborate staging. A total of eleven dancers filled the stage to narrate through dance a fantastic storyline where three powerful queens and their princesses, all of them otherworldly creatures, confronted each other and measured their strength in a tribal dance. Twelve hairdressers from Carol Bruguera and two make-up artists from Bodymims were also on stage, styling, retouching and evolving the hairstyles of the 11 dancers live.
